I love this French word which means “Exhibition of goods that one wants to sell, or the goods themselves”. In street markets and neighborhood shops the multicolored, multitextured arrangements of stuff for sale is always fascinating. The collective richness of the arrangements of merchandise are often far greater than the sum of the individual articles offered for sale.
